Attribution

The full journey behind every order.

Karbon Analytics syncs the richest attribution data from Shopify’s customer journeys — the touchpoints behind every order — and turns it into channel breakdowns, model comparisons, and conversion paths.

Available on Shopify App Store

How it works

Built on the journeys Shopify already captures.

Shopify records the touchpoints behind every order in its customer journeys. Karbon Analytics syncs that data and builds attribution reporting on top of it, from channel breakdowns to the path behind a single order.

Channel and medium breakdowns, attribution model comparisons, top conversion paths, and the full journey for any single order.

The reports

From channel mix
to a single order.

Every report reads from the order journeys Shopify captures. Reconcile revenue across platforms, compare attribution models, trace your top conversion paths, and open the journey behind any order.

Single source of truth

Platform-reported vs.
actually attributed.

Every ad platform claims your revenue, and Meta and Klaviyo often count the same order. Karbon Analytics puts platform-reported revenue next to what Shopify’s order journeys actually attribute, so you stop double-counting.

  • Platform-reported and Shopify-attributed, side by side
  • Every channel reconciled against real orders
  • One revenue number for the whole business

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Where the data comes from, what you can report on, and what it takes to get started.

About the data

Does Karbon Analytics use a tracking pixel?
No. Karbon Analytics is not a tracking tool and does not install a pixel or any script on your storefront. Attribution comes from the customer-journey data Shopify already captures behind every order. Karbon Analytics syncs that data with read-only access and builds reporting on top of it.
Where does the attribution data come from?
From Shopify’s order journeys. For every attributed order, Shopify records the touchpoints that led to it, including source, medium, and referrer. Karbon Analytics reads those touchpoints and organizes them into channel and medium breakdowns, attribution model comparisons, and conversion paths.
How is this different from Meta or Klaviyo’s reported revenue?
Ad platforms report the revenue they claim credit for, and several platforms often count the same order. Karbon Analytics puts platform-reported revenue next to what Shopify’s order journeys actually attribute, so you can reconcile the two and stop double-counting.

About the reports

Which attribution models can I compare?
First click, last click, linear, time decay, and position based. You can compare attributed revenue across all five models on the same set of orders, with no re-tagging and no re-tracking to switch between them.
Can I see the journey behind an individual order?
Yes. Any order opens to its full touchpoint path, in sequence, from first visit through checkout. When a number looks off, you can trace it back to the exact orders behind it.

About setup

What do I need to install to get attribution reports?
Nothing on your storefront. You authorize Shopify with read-only access, Karbon Analytics syncs your historical order journeys, and attribution reports populate as the data lands. Connect Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4, or Klaviyo to reconcile platform-reported revenue alongside.
